Glacial Waters + Juniper | Joffre Lakes

Lower, Middle, and Upper Joffre Lakes are all Glacier-fed lakes from the Matier Glacier. The incredible turquoise color of the water is created by the rock flour in the water which reflects blue and green light waves. In the late spring and early summer. The smell of flowers in the summer along with the crisp cool air and the smell of the glacial water all create a calming environment. We love watching the whiskey jacks fly around at the Upper Joffre lake. One day we would like to camp overnight at the Upper lake and watch the stars reflect in this incredible lake.

Wildlife: Inhabitants include Mule Deer, Black Tail Deer, Black Bears and Mountain Goats. Tall ice-capped mountain peaks, glaciers and rushing streams. Hemlock, shrubs and ferns line the trails, with wild berries and an array of birds inhabiting the park.
